I purchased a ticket, but I can no longer attend. What can I do?

Tickets are nonrefundable, so we recommend recruiting a friend or family member to attend in your place. These changes can be made through Eventeny by logging in and changing the name of the pickup person.

Can I buy a ticket at the door?

Because this is a plated dinner event, tickets will only be sold until October 31 in order to ensure every attendee will have a meal. We highly encourage you to take advantage of the discounted pricing prior to October 15!

Will tickets sell out?

There is a chance that all available tickets will be sold out, so if you’re planning on going, be sure to purchase your ticket early!

What’s included with my ticket?

Your ticket includes entry to the gala and a three-course plated dinner with an entree of your choice, selected upon check-out.

Donations

How much of my ticket goes to HIFF?

Rather than a percentage of each ticket, revenue made from the event will initially go towards covering all relevant event costs, while anything thereafter will be donated to HIFF.

Is my ticket purchase tax-deductible?

Tickets for this event are not tax-deductible because they’re processed through Kawaii Kon, not directly by a registered nonprofit. While all net proceeds will be donated to HIFF, only direct donations to the charity qualify for a tax deduction in accordance with IRS regulations. This is standard for most ticketed charity events.

What payment methods are accepted for silent auction?

Payments can be made by debit or credit card. More detailed information for the silent auction will be provided closer to the event.

Do I need to be present to win items at the silent auction?

No, you don’t need to be present to win your items, but it is highly encouraged. If you plan to take your winnings home that evening, please note that you will need to coordinate pickup or shipping with the Kawaii Kon team.

Is parking available?

The Hyatt Regency offers both self-parking and valet on a first come basis. Attendees may validate their parking at check-in. The self-parking rate is $10 and the valet parking rate is $15.

Will there be a bag check?

Your bags will not be checked, but any belongings must stay with you at all times. 

How do I notify the staff of an allergy or dietary restriction for dinner?

When purchasing your ticket on Eventeny, you will have an opportunity to select your entree and notate any allergies or specific dietary restrictions. Please fill out these fields in full, as Kawaii Kon and Hyatt are not responsible for accommodating dietary restrictions or preferences that are not clearly indicated during checkout.

What do I need to check in?

All attendees must provide a valid ID and QR confirmation code available, either in print or on a personal device. Please make sure that your ID matches the name on the Eventeny registration.

Is the venue accessible for disabilities?
