ZAQ started playing the piano at the age of 3. While studying classical music, she was interested in a wide range of genres of pop music such as rock, R&B, and hip-hop. She was amazed at the high musicality of anime songs while studying music in college.
In 2012, she made her debut as an artist by writing, composing, and arranging the character songs for the TV anime “Future Diaries.” Her first solo song “Sparkling Daydream” was released in October 2012 as the opening for “Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions” Since then, she has performed the openings for “Trinity Seven,” “Concrete Revolutio: Superhuman Phantasmagoria”, and “Classroom of the Elite.”
At Japan’s largest anime event “Animelo Summer Live 2017 -THE CARD-“, she wrote, composed, and arranged (co-arranged) the theme song, marking her unique presence not only as a performer but also as an artist.
In recent years, she has transcended the boundaries of labels and provided songs to many artists. With her arranging and producing capabilities as well as her unique sound as a singer-songwriter, ZAQ aims to be an artist who will kickstart a new renaissance for anime songs in the industry.
